About the Music...The first OST and movie soundtracks for Naruto Shippuden have finally been released. This time, the composer is Yasuharu Takanashi who brings a new level to the music we all loved in part one of Naruto. The music for Shippuden is darker and fits the darkness of the series. All of themes blend perfectly with the action and battles within the series. The first OST contains 28 tracks, all of which contain musical scores that will leave you breathless. My Thoughts on the MusicAfter listening to the soundtrack, opening and endings of Shippuden, I was, to simply put it, blown away. I'm a huge fan of the regular Naruto series, and naturally I was expecting the Shippuden music to be the same. I was wrong. It's a thousand times better than the original series! Which is pretty hard to beat. It's more dramatic, more catchy and really has no comparison. I was hooked from the very first opening, and the dramatic music fits the dynamics of the show really well. My favorite part of the music is that they made it sound more powerful. They took all the good flute melodies and mixed them with drums and all kind of great new harmonies. Without even watching the show, you could tell exactly how powerful the series is by listening to any of the songs. There is not a single sound that doesn't touch me in some way. Companions is one of my favorite sad, touching, emotional songs, while Shippuden would have to be my one of my favorite upbeat battle themes. I just adore the use of the instruments in all of the songs. They're just so insanely intense that I can't stop listening to them. I'm just amazed that there isn't one song that I don't love.... The OST is actually my favorite soundtrack to listen to while making layouts or drawing or writing. It just somehow makes me feel all the intensity of every note and creates this weird sense of power, calm or sadness. It's really hard to describe why this music just touches me so much, but I constantly am listening to all the songs so there must be something there that I'm addicted to. It's sort of like experiencing a really heart wrenching moment or a really relieved triumph at the click of my play button. I just feel like I'm being carried through the entire song and experiencing every trial and success. How cool is that? Maybe it's the quiet haunting qualities in some of the songs, or the calm serenade of the chanting hidden in the background, or maybe it's the quick beat of a battle unleashed. All I know is that I love it. I'm addicted to it and it's playing all the time. I'm itching to get my hands on more music from the series. I can't wait until more openings, endings and OSTs are released as I'm sure it will be as dynamic and captivating as the ones already released. |
